HE GIVETH AGAIN Why is it...I wonder...despite all the pain Our sin has inflicted..again and again From wells that are brimming with mercy He brings His cup of forgiveness from heavenly springs
The sweetest of wines made by man taste as dross For they've never been pressed through the seive of the cross When you're down at rock bottom and all but done in Remember that Jesus has died for your sin
Lift your head and look up...He your life will renew The goblet of grace is extended to you Not seven times seven...so be not dismayed By the depth of your sin or the times you have strayed
For eyes that are jaundiced see only the stain From a view-point mote-marred they'll desire you explain The why's and the wherefores...the how's and the when Say to their enquiry "He giveth again!" |

About the Poet
My hope is that through the poems I write God will be glorified.
I am reliant on the Holy Spirit for anything meaningful to say.
I am 71 years of age, married with three of a family...a retired Policeman living in Aberdeen, Scotland.
I play the Classical Guitar about grade4/5 level...and also paint after a fashion...although Van Gogh's in no danger!!
I learned of this site from a Christian friend,Laurie Jenkins.
I do hope that God blesses you through my poetry.
Every Blessing in Christ,
Raymond
