Love's Song

Love's Song

Her harmonies can resonate unheard
Especially where darkness has a hold
Laughing with delight she alters things
Burnishing burdens till they shine like gold

But dimly unaware...we wonder why
It is we raise a triumph-song in trial
While off she slips unseen and can't be found
Compassion-coy...fulfilled by self denial

Touching lives in such a major way
She sings her grace notes with anonymity
It's complex...how love merely just to be
Croons soft and simply...in a minor key

Where hearts are desafinado...out of tune
Broken and bruised by dint of satan's rod
Love loves...because there's naught else she can do
But love repentant sinners back to God

About the Poet
My hope is that through the poems I write God will be glorified. I am reliant on the Holy Spirit for anything meaningful to say. I am 71 years of age, married with three of a family...a retired Policeman living in Aberdeen, Scotland. I play the Classical Guitar about grade4/5 level...and also paint after a fashion...although Van Gogh's in no danger!! I learned of this site from a Christian friend,Laurie Jenkins. I do hope that God blesses you through my poetry. Every Blessing in Christ, Raymond
