SMILE

You smiled at me today and said,
"Hello," and "How are you?"
Well, how could you have guessed
that I was feeling kinda blue?
Your greeting raised my spirits,
just knowing that you care.
It somehow made my troubles
seem easier to bear.

Now,some folks can be grouchy
and complain of all life's ills.
I wonder if they start each day
By taking "grumpy" pills?
They're rarely ever satisfied.
They usually wear a frown.
And if you spend some time with them,
they're bound to bring you down!

But a smile can be like sunshine,
or a very happy song.
And the one you gave to me today
I'll surely pass along!

(moral: If you see someone without a smile,
give them one of yours.)
