A Kind Word Goes a Long Ways...

A Kind Word Goes a Long Ways

Kindness is always welcome,
offer a gentle hand to someone
in need. Even though some may not
accept it, offer it with a warm
loving smile. A gentle hello. How
are you? You won't get turned
down very often.
A kind word goes a long ways...

Kindness is always welcome,
someone maybe having a bad day.
Or having some very hard times,
offer a big hug or a pat on the
back. It lets them know you're there,
and that you care for them.
A kind word goes a long ways...

Kindness is always welcome,
never keep staring at someone. It
makes them uncomfortable, hurts
them too, they have feelings. If
a person says something that may
sound silly or the wrong answer.
Don't laugh or stare at them.
A kind word goes a long ways...

Kindeness is always welcome,
If they laugh, laugh with them,
not at them. 'Cause you have just
hurt their feelings. Towards that
person, though they may may not say
anything. Always be considerate to
others feelings, just think, "How
would I feel, if it happened to me?"
A kind word goes a long ways...

Kindness is always welcome,
never, ever say cruel things to a
child. Like telling them their father
isn't really their father at all. They
will ask questions after being told. A
child wouldn't really understand, 'til
they get older. Then they will want
answers. It will haunt them all their
lives, 'til the truth comes out.
A kind word goes a long ways...

About the Poet
I'm married. I am a grandmother. I love poetry, reading and writing it. Someone inspired me to start writing poetry again. That person is my Pastor.
