Hope

Hope is the essence of our existence. it can be a word, a dream or faith. It is an expectation of trust and desire. It cannot be seen, heard or touched.

Of course, we all want neighbors to walk hand in hand. We hope for peace in the world. And, we dream of a land of enchantment, over-flowing with love and happiness.

However, hope promises nothing. It is merely a longing in our unhappy souls.

Gynith

(Editorial note: Hope without faith is unpromising. Faith tells us, with the writer of the Hebrews, that we have the substance of the things we hope for. Que)

About the Poet
I still have 4 grandsons and love to write. Although it hasn't been easy (nothing worth while ever is), on June 1 Floyd and I will celebrate our 57th wedding anniversary.
