To a Leaf in Fall

To a Leaf in Fall

displaced feathers
exotics of a flustered bird
etched with blood-blush mem'ries
blustered by the archaic winds of change

oranges and golds from the stealth
of a sunset
your wounded blues trued from the
chills of dawning air
rustic browns to lie a mime of earth
bracketed with brittle
yet all wood scented

flutter on oh incessants ,
dire victims of the philharmonic of seasons..
in your orchestrated race to
taste of sweet terra

to make for me a bed

while your home limb
to clone you a clone
from a pallette of greens
will burst anew
