Newfound Friends

Newfound Friends

There it is
again
that little spark
that knows
a friend.
How many folk we meet;
minds we treat!
How many smiles and nods and greet
ings done
but none
are even near
the rare exuberance that gears
the soul
and one feels whole
when around the bend
one treads the comfort
of a newfound friend.
