5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your strength. - Deuteronomy 6:5(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
19 From the west, men will fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere His glory. For He will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the Lord drives along. - Isaiah 59:19(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
My life is my message. - Mahatma Gandhi -
THOUUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
To dream the impossible dream is to begin to make it possible. - From Go For It -
We may not know what the future holds, but we can trust the One who holds the future. - From Our Daily Bread -
When we get too busy to think of others, we are too busy. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 90 degrees. Kathy cleaned my house while I had lunch with Charley and Bill. Taylor was our waitress today. I went to the post office. I took a nap this afternoon with Rascal snuggling close to me. Thanks for praying for Smokey. He came in this morning wanting to eat and has been his normal self today. He was waiting for the treats when I took them out to the cats at around 6:00 p.m. Last evening he wouldn't even come out from under the storage house but just lay there. Praise the Lord that he is much better today. I sat with the cats for about 20 minutes this evening. Thanks for your emails, prayers and for reading the Good Things.
The cats are fine. Rascal is on the desk near me. Smokey was here a little while ago and I thought he might be wanting some food so I went to the kitchen and gave him some canned food. Spoiled or not? Emmy just came in. Leo is in the front yard. I just heard him jump on the van from the top of the house but he didn't want to come in. I have seen all the cats this evening. Everett, it is time to stop your rambling notes.
I hope everyone has a Wonderful Sunday. I will go to church tomorrow if my back is not hurting. Everett

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
30 As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him. 31 For who is God besides the Lord?/ And who is the rock except our God? 32 It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. - Psalm 18:30-32(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be. - Abraham Lincoln -

Put Christ first and you'll find a joy that lasts. - From Our Daily Bread -
Some troubles come from wanting our own way, others come from being allowed to have it. - From Reminisce Magazines -
NOTES:
Today has been mostly cloudy with rain off and on from about 9:00 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. I had about one half inch at my house. High temperature today was 84 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office for my mail. I took a nap this afternoon and Lucy, the former stray, took a nap with me for the first time in all the years I have been feeding her. Recently she has been sleeping a lot in the house. I put treats and food out for the cats about 6:10 p.m. and sat with them for a few minutes. Thanks for your emails and thanks for reading the Good Things. If you believe in praying for animals please help me pray for my cat named Smokey. He is not eating today, just lying around. I will take him to the vet if he doesn't get better.
My other cats are fine. Lucy is the only one with me in the den at present but Rascal has been here a short while ago. I have seen all of them tonight.
Have a nice Saturday. Everett

NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 89 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office. I took a nap without a cat but Itty Bitty did come by for a few minutes. I put food outside for the cats at a little after 6:00 p.m. I sat with them for about 5 or 10 minutes. I did a load of laundry this evening and dried them. Thanks to everyone for your emails and comments on the Good Things. A home has been found for the little kitten that I mentioned last night. My cats are fine. I have seen all of them this evening. None are with me at present but they have been here and will be back soon.
Have a nice Friday. Everett.

NOTES:
Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 93 degrees. I had lunch by myself at Taco Bob's Fiesta Grill since Charley had a luncheon at his church. Michelle was my waitress today. She has been receiving the Good Things for quite a while. I went to the post office, then to the CVS store, then to the Petsense store and then to Walmart. I bought supplies for my cats and me for a week. I took a nap this afternoon. My cat named Rascal snuggled real close to me all the time that I was napping. I put food, treats and water outside for the animals at around 6:15 p.m. and sat outside with the cats for about 15 minutes.
Tonight I would like to welcome Taylor to the Good Things. She is a waitress at Taco Bob's. Welcome to the Good Things, Taylor.
I know where there is a beautiful calico kitten for anyone who would like to take it and love it. It is about five weeks old and can eat and drink by itself. Now I would love for one of you friends to take this little kitten and love it. If you are interested, I will send a picture and give you the phone number where you can call to get it and bring home to raise and love.
My nine cats are fine. None are with me at present but Rascal just left out and will be back soon I am sure. I have seen all of my cats today.
Have a nice Thursday. Everett

FACTS ABOUT CATS:
Domestic cats certainly are loveable. They are also independent as well as smart and sensitive. Domestic cats love to interact with humans, but only on their own terms.
They need affection, care and attention, but the cat decides with who and when. The domestic cat is unique. Blessed. Sacred. - From The Internet -

NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 90 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to Country Mart and then to the post office. I went to my family doctor at 2:30 p.m. He listened to my heart and lungs and couldn't find anything else wrong with me. He wants to see me again in three months. I lay down around 3:30 p.m. with Itty Bitty and I got up at around 6:00 p.m. I put food and treats outside for the cats at 6:30 p.m. but didn't sit with them as my back was hurting a little. I thought about skipping the Good Things tonight and then I thought someone might need them tonight so as you can see, I did them. I don't know how many more days, weeks, months or years that I can do them. I am making the print larger tonight for older people like me with bad eyesight. You younger people will just have to put up with it. Thanks for your emails and thanks for reading the Good Things.
The cats are fine. None are with me at present but Rascal was with me and just left. He will be back before long. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Wednesday. Everett
