Merry Christmas
To each one who reads poetry at WC and reads this blog, I wish a blessed merry Christmas and God's blessing on your New Year. May you know the Christ of Christmas in a personal and life-changing way. He is Lord as well as Savior. If you haven't before, look to Christ today. Make it the best Christmas of your life. Blessings, QueDecember 12, 2014
Everett Christian - Good Things
Everett has notified all who receive the Good Things that he will no longer be writing and sending it. He is 89 and no longer feels up to making the effort. I wish to thank him for providing it for so many years and wish him the very best in his "golden years". (As someone has noted that means golden for the doctors! *smile*). Good Things
Wednesday, December 3, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. - Psalm 34:18(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
5 Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. - Psalm 147:5(New International Version).
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
He who laughs, lasts. - From Reminisce Magazine -
Maturity is acting your age instead of your urge. - From Reminisce Magazine -
We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give. - From Our Daily Bread -
NOTES:
Today has been a cloudy day with some light drizzling rain part of the day. High temperature was 47 degrees. Stephanie came early this morning and gave my house another good cleaning. She was not feeling well today but she came anyway. I went out and brought some lunch home from Carl's Jr today. Charley was eating at his church today. I went to the post office. About 1:00 p.m. I went to the clinic, picked up a prescription and took it to Walgreen's to be filled. I will pick up the prescription tomorrow. I took a nap with Smokey. I fed the cats their treats inside this evening since it was wet outside. Thanks for reading the Good Things and thanks for your notes.
The cats are fine. Emmy and Leo are asleep on the sofa and Rascal is asleep in the recliner chair. I have seen all of the cats this evening.
Have a nice Thursday, Everett.

Good Things
Monday, December 1, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. 11 For the Lord is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. - Psalm 84:10-11(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
(Jesus said): 40 "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." - John 6:40(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
Death is the end of the worst and the beginning of the best. - Harold E. Kohn -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
Don't withhold from the world the best news that's ever come to it. - From Our Daily Bread -
Initiative is doing the right thing without being told. - From Reminisce Magazine -
Like tacks, we can go no further than our heads will let us. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES:
Today has been cloudy and very cold with high temperatures in the low thirties. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office and then I have been inside the rest of the day. I took a nap this afternoon with two or three cats. I gave the cats their treats inside this evening since it was cold. I didn't do a Good Things last night. Thanks for reading the Good Things and thanks for your notes.
The cats are fine. Emmy, Leo and Tony are in the den with me. Friendly and Itty Bitty are outside at present but I am sure they will be back inside soon. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Tuesday, Everett.
