Good Things

Saturday, June 7, 2014:

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your strength. - Deuteronomy 6:5(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

19 From the west, men will fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere His glory. For He will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the Lord drives along. - Isaiah 59:19(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

My life is my message. - Mahatma Gandhi -

THOUUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

To dream the impossible dream is to begin to make it possible. - From Go For It -

We may not know what the future holds, but we can trust the One who holds the future. - From Our Daily Bread -

When we get too busy to think of others, we are too busy. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES:

Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 90 degrees. Kathy cleaned my house while I had lunch with Charley and Bill. Taylor was our waitress today. I went to the post office. I took a nap this afternoon with Rascal snuggling close to me. Thanks for praying for Smokey. He came in this morning wanting to eat and has been his normal self today. He was waiting for the treats when I took them out to the cats at around 6:00 p.m. Last evening he wouldn't even come out from under the storage house but just lay there. Praise the Lord that he is much better today. I sat with the cats for about 20 minutes this evening. Thanks for your emails, prayers and for reading the Good Things.

The cats are fine. Rascal is on the desk near me. Smokey was here a little while ago and I thought he might be wanting some food so I went to the kitchen and gave him some canned food. Spoiled or not? Emmy just came in. Leo is in the front yard. I just heard him jump on the van from the top of the house but he didn't want to come in. I have seen all the cats this evening. Everett, it is time to stop your rambling notes.

I hope everyone has a Wonderful Sunday. I will go to church tomorrow if my back is not hurting. Everett
