Good Things

Thursday, June 5, 2014

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

1 It is good to praise the Lord and make music to Your Name, O Most High, 2 to proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night. - Psalm 92:1-2(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

1 My son, do not forget my (wisdom's) teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, 2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. - Proverbs 3:1-2(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

I want the whole Christ for my Savior, the whole Bible for my book, the whole church for my fellowship, and the whole world for my mission field. - John Wesley -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

If God controls you on the inside, you'll be genuine on the outside. - From Our Daily Bread -

Remember . . . the world always looks brighter from behind a smile. - From Go For It -

Wisdom is learning that new and thrilling can't hold a candle to old and familiar. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES:

Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 89 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office. I took a nap without a cat but Itty Bitty did come by for a few minutes. I put food outside for the cats at a little after 6:00 p.m. I sat with them for about 5 or 10 minutes. I did a load of laundry this evening and dried them. Thanks to everyone for your emails and comments on the Good Things. A home has been found for the little kitten that I mentioned last night. My cats are fine. I have seen all of them this evening. None are with me at present but they have been here and will be back soon.

Have a nice Friday. Everett.
