An Unclutterred Mind

As dawn breaks through the eastern sky
I lie here with an uncluttered mind
Soon all the "what-if's" and the "why's"
Will be needing answers of some kind

The unfinished tasks from yesterday
I need no longer to forsake
I want the best for each of them
So just what course should I take

Often times- in days gone by-
I've sought for answers late at night
With solutions still evading me
But with a new dawn I'd see the light

To "sleep-on-it" and seek God's will
It's just amazing what that can do !
In haste we often get "off-track"
Consulting Him gives a different view

The "small-stuff" -  it is always there-
The important thing to keep in mind
Focus on things - that-matter-most-
Just keep priorities always aligned

So, Lord, please help me not forget
To seek Your counsel in all I do
Then clutter that would mar my day
Most of it  -  - I'll bid adieu-
