The Journey

How long will the journey take?
It will take seasons and seasons of change
Will there be smiles or painful heartache?
Whatever you and the fates arrange.

What scenery on the way will unfold?
Meadows of sun and dark waters deep
In swirling tides, how will I keep hold?
By love and strong faith you will keep.

How will I know when the journey is o'er?
When the heart with memories sings
Will I find rest on that final moor?
Yes, beautiful sleep that Eternity brings.
