Someday

Someday

Someday,when dawns become
old hat,and hours drag
each other forward
kicking and screaming,
when only sleep
gives bliss,an escape
from senses once on fire,
dulled by tedium,
when seasons run
into one another
only to announce
the passing year,
I will have seen it all,
and will close my eyes,
and welcome the unfamiliar.
