Brought from Above

        Brought From Above

A light from heaven guides the wise
Through deserts ‘neath His starry skies
Above our thoughts upon the road
To Bethlehem where truths unfold.

Within a simple stable’s stall,
A Child is born and angels call
For those who hear to come, adore
The birth of Peace for evermore.

His words will find a welcomed home
In hearts that will no longer roam
Away from tenderness and light
Brought down to earth this Christmas night.

From here, the word will always seek
His stable in the mild and meek
With those who hear the angel’s call
Of peace on earth good will to all.

About the Poet
Husband, father, grandfather, and each title is my joy. As a youth, poetry was a means to express the inexpressable. I was attracted to (and still am) the beauty and brevity of verse. All flows out from God, and like a proper prayer, can flow back.
