GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(The Apostle Paul wrote) 1 "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth." - 1 Timothy 2:1-4(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
19 A hard worker has plenty of food,
but a person who chases fantasies ends up in poverty.
- Proverbs 28:19(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
Christ is the desire of nations, the joy of angels, the delight of the Father. What solace then must that soul be filled with, that has the possession of Him to all eternity! - John Bunyan -
A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER
It takes just as much energy to wish as it takes to plan.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES
Today has been a hot sunny day in McAlester, Oklahoma, with high temperatures above 100 degrees. This is how it is throughout Oklahoma. We are really having a heat wave. I had lunch, then went by the post office and then to
Walgreens to pick up a prescription. The rest of the day has been spent inside. I sure hope my air conditioning doesn't go out. This evening I took cat treats, cat food and fresh water outside for the strays that might come along. It was much to hot to sit out this evening. The picture I am sending tonight is Itty Bitty lying in an old tub of soil. Honeysuckle vines are around her.
The cats are fine. They stay away from the hot temperatures during the day. They go out some after dark. No cat is in the den with me at present. Little Girl even went outside.
Please pray for an e-mail friend in California who is having a very rough time now. If you would like me to share a letter from her with you, get back with me.
At 10:15 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 88 degrees. I will see you next time.
In Christian Love, Everett.

Good Things
By Everett Christian, WC Poet
Wait for the Lord to handle the matter.
for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
16 They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation.
They exult in your righteousness.
