When I Get HOME!

When I Get HOME!

When I get Home, the first thing I'll do

Is to bow down, Lord, and worship You

And then from a heart that's filled with praise,

I'll extol Your Name, Lord, for endless days

O Jesus, Savior, life's hurting me

How I yearn, o God, to just be free

Free from distress, anxious thoughts, and tears

(Not even counting my many fears)

So when my life here on earth is through

I'll be looking forward to seeing You

And thankful that my sins God forgets

I'll be leaving earth with no more regrets!

Oh, the matchless works of our Great Lord!

He breaks us, heals us and makes us restored!

How I love His Mercy and His Grace!

And I'll be grateful for a niche in His Place!

About the Poet
I am 64, a born-again Christian, and didn't write until 1974. My mother inspired me to write poetry, from an early age since she developed a deep love for poetry in my life. However it took years before I tried to write. My favorite subject to write about is my Savior, Jesus Christ, and religious subjects. I reside in Cleveland, Ohio.
