The Coming

On one cloudy morning, in the eastern skies,

Millions will gaze upwards, as from the grave they Rise,

And millions more of living souls who longingly have yearned,

Will cry out with the Victory Shout, "Our Jesus has Returned!"

 

And this is why I hope and wait for Jesus Christ, my Lord,

For when He Comes the earth will heal, and we will be restored!

And for a thousand years on earth, our Loving Savior Reigns,

But this is the Beginning, for Eternity remains!

 

And on a brand new Earth and Heaven, forever we will dwell,

With all the saints who worship Him and all His praises, tell,

For Christ, our Lord will share with us in Heaven, with all that is...,

Simply because He Loved us at the first, and we are His!

About the Poet
I am 64, a born-again Christian, and didn't write until 1974. My mother inspired me to write poetry, from an early age since she developed a deep love for poetry in my life. However it took years before I tried to write. My favorite subject to write about is my Savior, Jesus Christ, and religious subjects. I reside in Cleveland, Ohio.
