I Paint Your Portrait

 

My brush paints your mood
across canvass stretched tight,
blending soft mist colors
of you this night

Warm shades of tenderness,
trust we shall always share
I highlight your strength,
with bold strokes of care
~*~
A mixture of rich colors,
divided shades of midnight blue
a background of honesty,
silhouette of love so true
~*~
My name adorns your portrait,
with flourish in fine frame
I paint this poem for you,
to show my love you claim
