The blank page is before me,

So clean and pure and white.

The promise of new mercies,

Remind me as I write,

That each day begins with praise,

And grace to follow Him.

Let my mind dwell on lovely thoughts,

Let my speech flow as a beautiful hymn.

The flowing stream of forgiveness,

May it wash over my soul,

A well watered garden springs forth,

With fragrances of old.

In the arms of Your love, so safe and secure,

In the kingdom of light,

Help me to love You and others,

As we walk by day and night.

* I wrote this poem just two days before my job was terminated. God knew.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
