Good Things

by Everett Christian, McAlester, OK
Aug. 5, 2011

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(The Apostle Paul wrote to Titus) 1 You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine. 2 Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. 3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. - Titus 2:1-5(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." - Matthew 6:34(New International Version).

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

NOTES
I had lunch with Charley and Bill today. I went to the post office. I stopped by Braum's and picked up some grapes and ice cream. Braum's grapes are from California while Walmart's grapes are often from another country. I took a nap this afternoon with Rascal and Smokey. Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 108 degrees. Low temperature this morning was 84 degrees. There was a rain shower in parts of McAlester last evening. All I got at my house was a few light sprinkles with lots of lightening and thunder. I live in the north part of town. My brother lives in the south part of town and he got a half inch of rain last evening. It will rain sometime. It always has before. I put out fresh water and food for the outside animals this evening. I watered two of my trees. I really get hot and tired watering the trees but it needs to be done. In pictures I will go back to my cat family tonight. I have shown you many of my family pictures and now it is time to go back to my cat family. The picture tonight is one of my female cats named Friendly. My eight cats and one stray are fine except for Emmy. She has been gone again for a day or two. I keep praying that she is okay and will come home safely. The other cats stay inside most of the time now. Little Girl is on the filing cabinet again tonight. Rascal was here a little while ago. At 10:15 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 97 degrees. I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
