Good Things

by Everett Christian, McAlester, OK

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
8 You (Lord) spread out our sins before you— our secret sins—and you see them all. - Psalm 90:8(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(The Apostle Paul wrote) 16 "I pray that from his(the Lord's) glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." - Ephesians 3:16-19(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
It is one thing to seek the power of God. It is another thing to rely on the power of God to share the Good News(Gospel). - Craig Taylor

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
A friend is someone you can do nothing with and enjoy it. - From Reminisce Magazine - You can't make any points by talking in circles. - From Reminisce Magazine - Be grateful for what you receive, but more grateful for what you can give. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 97 degrees. Low this morning was 81 degrees. This hot weather is sure rough on old people. I had lunch with Charley. I came by the post office and picked up some Father's Day cards that had been mailed to me. I did two loads of laundry today. I rested in early afternoon. My houscleaning lady and her daughter came at 5:00 p.m. and cleaned my house. Later I was tired so I took another little short nap. I went out back at 7:00 p.m. and sat with the cats and read for less than an hour. The picture tonight is Beau. It looks like he is slipping up on something, probably some kind of insect. The cats are fine. Little Girl is on the sofa. Rascal has been in but is now resting outside the front door. Smokey stayed outside last night and didn't come in until late afternoon today. He was his usual friendly self. He likes to lie near me and just look at me now and then but he seldom gets in my lap. At 9:30 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 91 degrees. Have a Wonderful Sunday! I will see you next time.
In Christian Love, Everett.
