Good Things

by Everett Christian, McAlester, OK

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
37 Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace. - Psalm 37:37(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD 17 Discipline your children, and they will give you peace of mind and will make your heart glad. - Proverbs 29:17(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE
Yes, there is no prayer so true, so powerful, so fragrant as that which sorrow presses from the heart. - Octavius Winslow -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
The bank of friendship cannot exist without deposits. - From Reminisce Magazine - To be a giving person, you don't need to give in, but there's much you must give up. - From Reminisce Magazine -
Two thoughts compel us: all are lost without a Savior and a Savior has come for all. - From Reflecting God -
When you open the window blinds for another, sunshine spills on you, too. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES
I felt that I should do Good Things tonight even though I usually skip a night. Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 92 degrees. Low temperature last night was 70 degrees. I attended Worship Services this morning. Pastor J. T.'s sermon was titled "Letting The Spirit Lead." I had lunch at home and rested this afternoon. I attended church tonight which was our monthly Missions Service. After I came home I had time to sit out with the cats and read for a few minutes. The picture tonight is me with my great granddaughter Holly. I am not sure if there will be Good Things tomorrow night. You will just have to check it out. The cats are fine. They have been coming and going all evening. None are in the den with me at present. At 9:40 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 83 degrees. I will see you next time.
In Christian Love, Everett.
