GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. 5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  - Romans 15:4-6(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

1 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. 2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.  - Ephesians 5:1-2(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Church work and church attendance mean the cultivation of the habit of feeling some responsibility for others and the sense of braced moral strength which prevents a relaxation of one's own moral fiber.  - Theodore Roosevelt -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

The best way to wake up with a smile on your face is to go to bed with one already there.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day with high temperatures in the mid thirties.  I had lunch at home.  Taco Bob's Fiesta Grill was closed today.  Charley invited me to come have dinner with them but my cleaning lady was due at 1:00 p.m.  The lady that cleans my house arrived right on time at 1:00 p.m.  Later in the afternoon I went to the post office to check for mail but there was no mail in my box.  The post office personnel told me some time ago that they put mail in the post office boxes on holidays but I don't remember ever getting mail in my box on a holiday.  I took a nap.  I put food outside for the stray animals.  At 5:30 p.m., Pastor J. T. brought my evening meal that his wife Dianne sent to me.  It was a very good meal and I had enough left for my lunch tomorrow.  Thank you Dianne!!  The picture tonight is Beau when he was a kitten.

During the last seven days I have received e-mails from Alice, Audie, Pastor J. T., Geneva, Dr. Phil Washburn, Burlene, Michele Filitti, Debra, Geoff, Cathy Perks, Mary Ellen, Paula, June, Gilbert, Carol, Mary Jo, Ruth, Rev. Tommy and Rev. Tom.  I appreciate every one of these letters.  If you didn't send a letter but read and enjoy the Good Things, then I appreciate you also.  If you sent me a letter during the past 7 days and I didn't list your name, let me know and I will list it next time.

The cats are fine doing their normal things, mainly sleeping or resting.

At 10:30 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 26 degrees.  Have a Wonderful Sunday!  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Eveett.
