GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

4 Anger is cruel, and wrath is like a flood,
but jealousy is even more dangerous.
- Proverbs 27:4(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

27 Fear of the Lord lengthens one’s life,
but the years of the wicked are cut short.
- Proverbs 10:27(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Compassion, at it's heart, means willingly taking another's pain as our own - serving those who will never be able to repay in any way.  - Neil B. Wiseman -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

We can't all be nightingales - even sparrows sing.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day with high temperatures in the upper seventies.  June and I had lunch with Charley and then to the post office.  June and I went to the cemetery and replaced the old flowers on my wife, Flonnie's grave, with some beautiful new flowers.  Tomorrow is Flonnie's birthday.  She would have been 85 years of age.  I was 85 in August.  She has been gone two and one half years and it is not getting much easier for me.  I am just awaiting my call to go home and be with Flonnie.  Until then I will just go on doing the Good Things and taking care of our cats.  I went to the newspaper office this afternoon and paid for my subscription for the next three months. I have really enjoyed June's visit the past few days.  We had pizza for supper.  We sat out with the cats this evening.  I had e-mails today from Audie, Debra and Geneva.  Curtis and Debra Schock are church friends.  I will leave one paragraph of Debra's letter at the end of the Good Things.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl is asleep on the couch.  Rascal was in a little while ago lying on his back showing off his white furry belly.

At 10:15 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 55 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.

Here is the paragraph from Debra's letter:

I don't have alot of different colors to choose from, but thought it would be pretty to show some of the
Autumn colors when typing You!! Oh those Golden Colors!! God has an artistic talent when doing his "painting"
and the change of the seasons, with the beauty around us. The many different flowers and each in their own
unique design and color of their own - not to mention the skies showing off the sunrise/sunsets and then to
view the clouds scenes and even the night stars. We are truly Blessed with our surroundings of Nature. The Lord
provides us with so much and much we take for granted.
