GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

5 Every word of God proves true.
He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.
- Proverbs 30:5(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said) 24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”  - Matthew 5:24-27(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Oh what a sight 'twill be when the ransomed hosts we see, as numberless as the sands of the seashore.
- F. A. Blackmer -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

A person's temper is one thing that improves the longer he or she keeps it.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

The people who move the world do not let the world move them.

NOTES

Today was one of the hottest days we have had this summer.  High temperatures were 100 to 105 degrees.  Pretty fluffy white clouds were all over the sky but no rain clouds.  I had lunch with Charley and came by the post office.  I took a nap and then went to Walmart for cat food and some other items.  Too hot to sit out tonight but I did put out food and fresh water for the strays. The picture tonight is Beau.  He appeared to be hunting when June snapped this picture.  He was in my next door neighbor's yard.  Their yard has now been mowed.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl likes to rest on top of the van after dark.  That is where she is now.  Rascal just went out the front door but he will be back soon I think.  Tony, the cat from across the street just came in for a few bites of dry cat food.

At 10:30 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 90 degrees.  I will see you next time.
