GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

(Moses said) 39 “So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other."  - Deuteronomy 4:39(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(The Apostle Paul wrote) 4 "But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus."  - Ephesians 2:4-7(New Living Translation).

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Do not pray for a lighter load but for a stronger back.

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny but there were clouds around late this afternoon.  High temperatures today were in the mid nineties.  I had lunch with Bill and Charley.  I went by the post office.  The reason I go by the post office every day is to pick up my mail.  I have a post office box.  The post office made everyone on this block put up curb side mail boxes after delivering to the door for over 40 years.  I decided that I would just rent a box at the post office.  It was cloudy late this evening so I thought I might be able to sit outside for a while.  I tried it but the heat index was still too high to be comfortable so I came back inside.  The picture that I will send tonight is Rascal.  He is the one that my kids and I think Flonnie sent to me.  He just appeared one night here in the den.  Of course the door was open.  I told the story on Good Things once before but if you haven't heard it or want to hear it again let me know and I will send you the story.  Rascal is really my buddy.  He comes in and checks on me during the evening.  When I go to bed the other cats do different things, some want go outside and some want to stay inside.  Rascal always comes to bed with me soon after I go to bed and stays there until I get up in the morning.  I don't know what I would do without Rascal.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl is on the couch (some call it a sofa but I call it a couch).  Rascal was in a little while ago.

At 9:25 p.m. skies are now fair with a temperature of 83 degrees.  I will see you next time.
