GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

(The Lord said)   “You must not pass along false rumors. You must not cooperate with evil people by lying on the witness stand."  - Exodus 23:1(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  - 1 John 4:7-8(New International Version).

A QUOTE

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Each day adds a piece to the puzzle of life.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

When we take one step toward God, He takes seven steps toward us.
- Indian Proverb -

NOTES

Today has been another hot sunny day with high temperatures around 100 degrees and above.  I sent an e-mail to you a little while ago showing just how hot it is here.  I had lunch by myself today.  Charley had a meal at his church.  I went by the post office and came home.  I took a nap in my cool bedroom.  Rascal took a nap with me.  To my church friends reading the Good Things, this 84 (soon to be 85) year old man just didn't have the energy to come to church tonight.  I did put out fresh water and food for the strays this evening.  I also watered a couple of trees and then had to come in and cool off for a while.  I had several comments about the beautiful cat from last night.  I didn't tell you his name.  His name is Smokey.  Tonight I will send a picture of Leo.  Leo is Emmy's kitten and was born while I was at Moore.  He is over a year old now.

The cats are fine.  Most are outside since it is dark now.

At 9:10 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 93 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
