GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

23 The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
24 Though they stumble, they will never fall,
for the Lord holds them by the hand.
- Psalm 27:23-24(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

19 Godly people find life;
      evil people find death.
- Proverbs 11:19(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Character may be manifested in the great moments, but it is made in the small ones.
- Phillips Brooks -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

Don't be concerned about the years in your life, rather the life in your years.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

We had light rain in McAlester for about an hour or so this morning.  It started around 8:00 a.m.  The skies cleared this afternoon.  High temperatures today were around 90 degrees.  After lunch I went by the post office.  Later I went to a Dollar General Store and Country Mart.  This evening I sat out with the cats and read for an hour or so.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl is on the couch here in the den.  The others are around somewhere either in the other part of the house or outside.

At 10:50 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 77 degrees.  I will see you next time.  I think I will leave you with a story tonight.

In Christian Love, Everett.  Here is the Story:

Glory DaysGorgeous George, named by my mother, is a peacock.

One warm spring day a few years ago, he appeared out of nowhere and stood at her window. He peered in quite seriously, as if he were on a mission. His sole purpose seemed to be to protect her and watch over her.

I was grateful for his help. Mother was at the end stage of her life, spending her last weeks in the comfort of her own home. When George fanned his beautiful tail feathers out, with their beautiful hues of green and blue, Mother thought she might be getting a peek at heaven.

After Mom died, George attended her funeral, standing solemnly and proud with his magnificent tail spread out in all its glory. A glory Mom would know a hundred times over.
