GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

5 Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser.
Let those with understanding receive guidance
6 by exploring the meaning in these proverbs and parables,
the words of the wise and their riddles.
- Proverbs 1:5-6(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

7 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
- Proverbs 1:7(New Living Translation).

An often overlooked blessing is the aroma of something delicious wafting from the kitchen.

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny with high temperatures in the low eighties.  I went to the post office around 9:30 a.m. and picked up my mail.  Charley came by at 10:00 a.m. on his way to Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He had an appointment with his dermatoligist in Tulsa at 1:30 p.m.  I went with him.  We went by Muskogee, Oklahoma and had lunch at the Golden Corrall.  If you go away hungry from the Golden Corrall it is your own fault when you take the buffet.  We arrived at the doctor's office a little before 1:00 p.m. and lo and behold there were some good friends from McAlester, Ruth and Lawrence Traughber, sitting in the waiting room.  They came with another good friend of mine, Wanda Brooks, who had an appointment with the same doctor.  I used to work with Ruth and Wanda at the H&R Block office in McAlester.  Charley and I got home around 4:00 p.m.   I was tired so I lay down for a nap for an hour or so.  This evening I sat in the yard for over an hour and read.  After I finished reading I walked around the yard looking at the flowers with five cats following me and one sitting in a chair.  The cats love for me to come to the yard with them.

The cats are fine, going in and out as they please since the weather is mild.

At 10:40 p.m. skies are partly cloudy with a temperature of 75 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
