GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

 14 O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed;
      if you save me, I will be truly saved.
      My praises are for you alone!
- Jeremiah 17:14(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

 6 But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.  - Hebrews 3:6(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Listening to people praise the Lord is uplifting and refreshing.
- T. Daniel Casey -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

Many times you find the big apples on top of the basket, but you must remember the little ones that are holding them up.  - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been a partly cloudy day with high temperatures in the upper seventies.  I attended the Easter Service at McAlester First Church of The Nazarene.  A wonderful service it was.  There were so many good things that happened that I can't mention all the good things.  One highlight was the special song sung by a trio, Pastor J. T. Carlton, Janice Clagg and Stan McMullen.  The title of their song was "Gone" which I will include at the end of today's Good Things.  Pastor J. T.'s sermon was titled "Resurrection Faith - Hope - Love."  I had a good feeling when church was over this morning.  We didn't have church tonight in order that people could  spend  tonight with their families.  I had lunch at home and took a nap this afternoon with Rascal.  I had some e-mails telling me not to stop the Good Things so I will let you know in advance when and if I plan to stop them.  I probably won't stop them until I can no longer do them unless I feel the Lord wants them stopped.

The cats are fine.  I will let you know when Happy returns.  The cats are going in and out tonight since it is a beautiful night.  The problem is that cats like to explore and sometimes stray too far from their yard.  I just had to call Rascal from the apartments across the street.  They are real  nice apartments so I don't think he would get hurt over there but I had rather that my cats stay in their yard.

At 9:30 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 71 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.  Here is the song I promised:

Gone
Mary came unto the tomb of Jesus.
The stone was moved and he had gone away.
The angel said, "Fear not, I know whom seek ye,
But he is risen." This she heard him say.

{chorus}
Gone. The stone is rolled back.
Gone. The tomb is empty,
Gone. To sit at the Father's side.
Gone. Over death, triumphant.
Gone. Sin is defeated.
Gone. He lives forevermore.

My friend, if you don't know my risen savior,
I beg of you, don't wait too late to pray.
Don't wait until his bride has been completed.
Don't wait until you hear him say, "It's too late."
