Good Things

By Everett Christian,  WC Poet

GOOD THINGS

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

1 The wicked run away when no one is chasing them,
but the godly are as bold as lions.

2 When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily.
But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.

Proverbs 28:1-2(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy) 8 And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.  - 2 Timothy 4:8(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

More things will not guarantee more happiness.  - Ken Chamberlain -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

God never created anybody to be a nobody.  - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day in McAlester, Oklahoma, with high temperatures in the mid sixties.  I had lunch with Charley, then went to the post office and Walmart.  The rest of the time has been spent at home, mainly resting.  I would caution all who read the Good Things to always pay close attention to the Scripture Verses that I send and do your very best to live by them.  Who knows, that may be why God is keeping this 84 year on man on this earth?

The cats are fine, going in and out as they please.  Friendly and Itty Bitty are on the desk near my computer, eating.  Rascal just came by to check on me.  Little Girl is usually on the couch but has chosen to go outside for a little while.

At 10:10 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 55 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
