GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.  - Galatians 5:24-26(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

29 Then God said, "Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.30 And I have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground—everything that has life.” And that is what happened.  - Genesis 1:29-30(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

People seldom improve when they have no other model but themselves to copy after.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny in McAlester, Oklahoma with high temperatures in the upper fifties.  I checked on Beau this morning.  The lady I talked with said he was doing better and eating some but the doctor wants to keep him another day.  The office was closed this afternoon as they take Thursday afternoons off.  I will check on Beau in the morning and hopefully he will be well enough to come home.  If anyone doesn't know, Beau is a cat.  I had lunch with Charley and then went by the post office.  I talked with all three of my kids this evening, Treva in Topeka, June in Hawaii and Ron in Oklahoma City.  I would like to welcome Gail Kendric to the Good Things.  She is a friend of my good friend, Annette White.

The cats are fine.  The back door is slightly open so they can go in and out.  Emmy and Little Girl are here in the den at present.

At 10:05 p.m. we have been having some light rain with a temperature of 48 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
