GOOD THINGS

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

21 Then Peter came to him (Jesus) and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?”  22 “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!  - Matthew 18:21-22(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

7 so he (Jesus) explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. 9 Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. 10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life."  - John 10:7-10(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

One way to measure the depth of your religion is to look at the breadth of your concern for others.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

There's no harm in staying youthful as long as you know how old you are.

NOTES

The Good Things didn't make it last night.  I had a bad head cold and was really feeling rough so I took some medicine and went to sleep for a while.  I then got up but thought it was too late to do the Good Things.  I have heard from at least one person that missed them.  Today has been a sunny day in McAlester, Oklahoma, with high temperatures in the upper fifties.  I had lunch today with Charles.  I then went to the post office, Country Mart, Lowes and Walmart in that order.  It was then time for my nap.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl is on the back of the couch here in the den.  The rest have been going in and out, mostly out.

At 8:15 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 48 degrees.  I will see you next time.  Have a Wonderful Lord's Day tomorrow.

In Christian Love, Everett.
