GOD SPEAKS TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

1 See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. 2 Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. 3 And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.  - 1 John 3:1-3(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

23 For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. 24 As the Scriptures say,
   “People are like grass;
      their beauty is like a flower in the field.
   The grass withers and the flower fades.
    25 But the word of the Lord remains forever.”
And that word is the Good News (Gospel) that was preached to you.  - 1 Peter 1:23-25(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

When you were born, you cried and everybody else was happy.  The only question that matters is this: When you die, will you be happy when everybody else is crying?  - Tony Campolo -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

We worry about the things we want to do but can't, in place of doing that which we could but don't.

A flower that follows the sun does so even on cloudy days.

NOTES

Today has been bitterly cold in Moore, Oklahoma, with high temperatures only in the twenties, even though the sun has been shining.  I did go out about noon to Walgreens to pick up a prescription and then to Crest Food Market for cat food and other items.  On the way home I stopped by Arby's and brought a sandwich home to eat.

The cats are fine, going outside occasionally but staying in sleeping most of the time.  As I took my nap this afternoon, Leo and Rascal were snuggling with me.  I didn't know it but Beau had gone out in the cold.  After resting for an hour or so I got up and there was poor little Beau at the door wanting in.  I let him and he seemed fine wanting to play with me and checking on the other cats.  He is now asleep in my computer chair.

At 6:10 p.m. skies are clear with a temperature of 21 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
