GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his names sake. - Psalm 23:1-3(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - Isaiah 9:6(New International Version).

NOTES

Today has been mostly cloudy with a high temperature of 60 degrees before the cold front came in this afternoon. Stephanie came a little after 8:30 a.m. to clean my house. She had her son, Dillon, with her today as they had a big house to clean after they finished mine. Stephanie did the usual outstanding job of changing my bed sheets, cleaning my bedrooms, kitchen, living room, bathroom and den. She even does some laundry for me. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. Brianna was our waitress today. I went to the post office and then to Walgreens to pick up a prescription. I took a nap with Emmy. I put treats out for the cats around 5:45 p.m. Thanks for reading and sending me notes. I have a true cat story for you in the next paragraph.

My neighbors next door have a black half grown kitten. This morning as Stephanie came to clean there was a cat in my yard near my van. I didn't think any more about the cat thinking it would go home. At 11:15 a.m. I got in my van and drove to Taco Bob's, had lunch, went to the post office and then to Walgreens. As I came out to get in my van from Walgreens a man asked me if that was my van. I told him it was. He said for me to open my hood as there was a cat under it. I opened the hood and there was the black kitten that had been riding with me all over town. I picked it up an put it in my van and brought it home but I couldn't get it to come out of my van. It was under the front seat. I rolled the windows down on the van and left the cat in the van. It was very unfriendly to me, even scratching my hand. Around 5:00 p.m. I went back to the van and opened a door. The cat came out and went to its yard but no one was home. After I started the Good Things I looked out and the neighbors had come home. I went over and told her that her cat had been out all day. She said it got out last night and she couldn't get it to come back in. About that time the kitten came running up and went in the house. The lady and I were both happy that the cat came in. That is the same cat that I wrote about having problems with two or three weeks ago. I am not going to see an animal mistreated if I can prevent it.

My cats are fine. None are with me at present but I have seen all of them this evening.

Have a nice Thursday,

Everett.
