Good Things

Sunday, July 27, 2014

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

18 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. 20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged. - Colossians 3:18-21(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. - 1 Peter 5:6-7(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

May our love for our Savior deepen as we anticipate our joyful reunion with Him. - Bill Crowder - THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

If you never have a dream, you will never have a dream come true. - From Reminisce Magazine -

It's easier to go down a hill than up, but the view is better from the top. - From Reminisce Magazine -

The human spirit rings with hope at the sound of an encouraging word. - From Our Daily Bread -

NOTES:

Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 97 degrees. I attended Worship Services this morning. We had the usual good service with our choruses, hymns and spiritual songs. Pastor JT's sermon today was "Is it faith or reality?" I had lunch at home. I took a nap this afternoon. I put treats outside for the cats around 6:30 p.m. I put the garbage out on the street at around 7:00 p.m. Thanks again for reading the Good Things and thanks for your notes.

The cats are fine. Rascal is the only one with me at present. I have seen all of my cats this evening.

Have a great Monday. Everett
