GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

10 Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in Him; let all the upright in heart praise Him! - Psalm 64:10(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

35 Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. - John 6:35(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

The next time we are tempted to take credit for the blessings we enjoy, lets pause and remember that it is the Lord who brings blessing. - Albert Lee -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

A smile is a wrinkle that should not be removed. - From Reminisce Magazine - In His will is our peace. - Dante -

Those with peace of mind never give others a piece of their mind. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES:

Today has been a sunny hot day with a high temperature of 96 degrees. I attended Worship Services this morning. We had the usual inspiring service with choruses, hymns and spiritual songs and an inspirational sermon by Pastor JT on Forgiveness. I had lunch at home. I had a nap with Tony. Emmy had joined us when I awakened. I put treats outside for the cats at around 6:15 p.m. but it is much to warm to sit out at all. The hot weather is hard on everyone but especially we older people. I still have to put the garbage out on the street for pick up in the morning after I finish the Good Things. Thanks for reading the Good Things and thanks for your comments orally or by mail. I must do them as much as possible because I have people who wait for them at night and others who read them the first thing in the morning.

The cats are fine. Leo is on the desk and Smokey is on a tv tray. Emmy, Rascal and Tony are just outside the front door. I have seen all of them this evening.

Have a nice Monday. Everett
