Good Things

Saturday, July 5, 2014

(Sorry this is late. I am to blame. Que) GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

8 Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice. - Proverbs 16:8(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

42 Jesus called them (the apostles) together and said, "You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 43 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all." - Mark 10:42-44(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

Every new day is a precious gift. May we thankfully embrace each one with confident trust and humble celebration. - Bill Crowder -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, but keep it in good repair. - From Reminisce Magazine -

In a head filled with prejudices, there's no room for a good idea. - From Reminisce Magazine -

Praying for others is a privilege - and a responsibility. - From Our Daily Bread -

NOTES:

Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 87 degrees. Kathy cleaned my house while I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office, then to the Petsense store and then to Memory Gardens Cemetery before I came home. As I lay down for my nap, Rascal joined me until I went to sleep but he had moved on when I awakened. At around 5:30 p.m. I went to Dominoe's Pizza to pick up a pizza for tonight and tomorrow. I put treats outside for the cats at around 6:05 p.m. My back was hurting a little last night so I didn't do the Good Things. I will keep doing them when I feel like it and thanks to each of you for hanging in here with me and reading them. Thanks also for your emails.

The cats are fine. None are with me at present but I have seen all of them this evening. Lucy's twin keeps coming back in the evening for dry food and eats all I put out for it (I don't know if it is male or female). It is a beautiful cat. There is a black spot in the middle of her white chest.

Have a Wonderful Sunday. Everett
