Good Things

Wednesday, July 2, 2014

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. - Romans 8:10(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

23 Love the Lord, all His saints! The Lord preserves the faithful, but the proud He pays back in full. - Psalm 31:23(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

A word of encouragement to a hurting friend can come like a refreshing rain. - David McCasland -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

A name engraved in hearts will outlast those engraved in marble. - From Reminisce Magazine -

The easiest way to make those around you happy is to be happy yourself. - From Reminisce Magazine -

When we give ourselves completely to the Lord, all lesser giving becomes easier. - From Our Daily Bread -

NOTES:

Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 87 degrees. We had rain starting about 7:15 p.m. last night and it was still raining a little when I got up this morning. I received one and six tenths inches of rain at my house. We were having a thunderstorm last night when I should have been doing the Good Things. Charley had lunch at his church today so I had lunch at home. I went to the dentist at 1:30 p.m. I took a nap this morning and also this afternoon. That is about all I feel like doing any more. I put treats out for the cats at 6:10 p.m. Thanks for reading the Good Things and thanks for your emails.

The cats are fine. None are with me now but I have seen all of them this evening.

Have a nice Thursday. Everett
