Good Things

Monday, April 28, 2014

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. - 1 Peter 3:15-16(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. - 1 John 4:8(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

God's love, grace and mercy are still available if we have the courage to open ourselves to trust and be transformed. - Brent Peterson -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

Hatred promotes self-destruction; love fulfills Christ's instructions. - From Our Daily Bread - I wish for you the inner clarity of light that never allows a small worry to cast a big shadow. - From I Wish For You - What you don't know never hurts you; it's what you suspect that causes all the trouble. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES:

Today has been partly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid seventies. We had a rain shower around 6:30 p.m. that was over in a few minutes. I had lunch with Charley, Bill and Mark (Bill's son). I went to the post office for my mail and then to CVS for a couple of items. I took a nap with Emmy. At around 6:00 p.m I put food outside and sat with the cats for a few minutes just before the rain shower came up. I appreciate each one who reads the Good Things and I appreciate the emails.

The cats are fine. Rascal is the only one around at present and he is in the recliner. I have seen all my babies this evening.

Have a nice Tuesday, Everett.
