Good Things

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

9 This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. 10 Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your hearts do not think evil of each other." - Zechariah 7:9-10(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Romans 15:13(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

Speaking up for Jesus does not always win the crowd's favor here on earth, but it does ensure His approval in heaven, where it matters the most. - Jennifer Benson Schuldt -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

A ship in port is generally safe, but that's not what it was made for. - From Reminisce Magazine -

May you reach out and take hold of your days and have no cause to fear your nights. - From I Wish For You -

You won't stumble in the dark if you walk in the light of God's Word. - From Our Daily Bread -

NOTES:

Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 75 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went by Country Mart store for a couple of items. I went to the post office. I then went by Memory Gardens cemetery before I came home. I took a nap with Beau and Emmy. I went to Domino's Pizza at around 5;30 p.m. to pick up a pizza for my meals tonight and tomorrow. I put food and treats out for the cats at around 6:30 p.m. and sat with them a few minutes. I watched the Lawrence Welk show at 7:00 p.m. from 1979. It was an Easter program with several good songs such as "He Touched Me", "Do Lord Oh Do Lord;" "The Old Time Religion," "Showers Of Blessings," "The Old Rugged Cross," and others. These songs really sounded good backed up by the great Lawrence Welk Orchestra. It will be shown again at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow for those who live in Oklahoma on OETA. Thanks to everyone for your emails and thanks to everyone who reads the Good Things.

The cats are fine. They have been outside and a couple of orange and white ones just came in and are on a desk near me. That would be Leo and Tony. Rascal also just came in. I have seen all the kitties this evening.

I hope everyone has a Wonderful, Wonderful, Easter Sunday. Everett
