Good Things
Thursday, March 13, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
9 Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone. - Psalm 71:9(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
22 And God placed all things under His (Jesus) feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way. - Ephesians 1:22-23(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
It's easy to be sidetracked by lesser things, but our focus must remain on the greatest thing - loving our God. That in turn enables us to love one another. There is nothing greater. - Bill Crowder -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
Correction does much, but encouragement does more. - From Our Daily Bread -
Seize the day and put the least possible trust in tomorrow. - From Reminisce Magazine -
There are none so blind as those who will not see. - An English saying based on Jer. 5:21 -
NOTES:
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 66 degrees. I had lunch with Charley, our friend Bill, and our nephew Denton. I went to the post office. I took my nap this afternoon with Smokey. I put treats and food outside for the animals at 6:00 p.m. Tomorrow we will have soup for lunch and will give a donation for the good cause. Thanks for your emails and thanks for reading the Good Things.
Our friend, Bill Derichsweiler, who has lunch with us often, will have surgery next Thursday, March 20, at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They will remove one of his kidneys. I know that Bill would appreciate your prayers. The cats are fine. Emmy, Rascal and Tony were with me but all three of them just went out the front door. I have seen all of the cats this evening.
Have a nice Friday.
Everett. Keep Thinking The Good Thoughts!!!
