Good Things

GOOD THINGS Thursday, February 20, 2014: GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD: 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD: 4 The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied. - Proverbs 13:4(New International Version)

A QUOTE: Indeed we do not really live unless we have friends surrounding us like a firm wall against the winds of the world. - Charles Hanson Towne -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER: A memory is the afterglow of good times past. - From Reminisce Magazine -

Trust in the Lord is the cure for a fearful spirit. - From Our Daily Bread -

With God's grace, there is possibility, potential, and strength. - From Reflecting God -

NOTES: Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 57 degrees. I had lunch with Charley, Steve (Charley's pastor) and Doug (our cousin). I went by the post office and then home. I took a nap with Tony this afternoon. I put food outside for the animals at around 5:50 p.m. I had some emails telling me how they liked the Good Things. My nephew asked me what I would be doing during the time I did the Good Things if I stopped them. Well, I would probably work on puzzles. I would read a devotion regardless of whether I did the Good Things. So I am continuing with the Good Things for the present. Thanks for your e-mails and thanks for reading the Good Things.

The cats are fine. The only one with me at present is Rascal. I have seen all of them this evening.

Have a nice Friday.

Everett. Keep Thinking The Good Thoughts!!!
