Good Things
by Everett Christian, McAlester, OKGOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. - 1 Thessalonians 4:7(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. - Psalm 18:30(New International Version)
A QUOTE
Don't be fooled by the calendar. There are only as many days in the year as you make use of. - Charles Richards -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Be like the steam kettle! Though up to its neck in hot water, it continues to sing. - From Don't Wait for Your Ship to Come In. . . Swim Out to Meet It! -
Think of three things: whence you came, where you are going, and to whom you must account. - From Proverbs for Daily Living -
NOTES
Today has been a warm cloudy day with a high temperature of 78 degrees and a low temperature this morning of 61 degrees. My housecleaning lady came at 11:15 a.m. and cleaned my house while I had lunch with Charley and Bill. While we were eating our great niece, Leslie Grinell, came in and visited with us for a few minutes. She is a CPA and lives and works in Shawnee, Oklahoma. After lunch I went by the post office and then to Memory Gardens cemetery. I came home and sat out with the cats for a little while before I took my nap. I took a nap with Tony this afternoon. I put treats outside for the cats at 4:30 p.m. Since last night's Good Things, I have heard from Burlene, Gina (my cousin-in-law), Audie (my cousin), Michelle, Ruby (my niece-in-law), Dianne and Alice. I am always happy to receive your e-mails.
The cats are fine. I have seen all of them this evening. Leo just came by for a bite of dry food.
I hope everyone has a Wonderful Sunday!
I will see you next time, In Christian Love, Everett.
