GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
7 The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. - Nahum 1:7(New King James Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy." - Matthew 5:3-7(New King James Version).

A QUOTE
God's love for us is forever and the hope it inspires in our hearts will never disappoint us. - George Lyons -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER
Better to be alone than in bad company. - From Proverbs For Daily Living -

FUN THOUGHTS ABOUT CATS
Climb every curtain, Dodge every flea, Sniff every morsel, Food is what it could be!
Dash down the hallway, Leap on the bed, Follow every ripple, That's in the bedspread! - From Cats Rule -

NOTES
Today has been a sunny day in McAlester, Oklahoma, but not quite as hot as yesterday. High temperature today was 98 degrees with a low of 73 degrees. Had lunch with Charley and Bill. Went to the post office and then to Braums for a couple of items. I have been home the rest of the day, mostly inside. I took my nap this afternoon with Little Girl. I put fresh water and treats outside for the cats at 5:45 p.m. but I came right back inside due to the heat. I watched a Billy Graham Classic Crusade at 6:00 p.m. The one that was shown tonight was from Halifax, Novia Scotia, in 1979. I will send three pictures tonight. I appreciate hearing from you. Remember if you would like to be dropped from Good Things, just send me an e-mail.
The cats are fine. They are elsewhere at the present time although Little Girl and Rascal were both inside a little while ago.
I will see you next time,
In Christian Love, Everett.
