Good Things

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said)15 "Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” 16 And He took them (little children) up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them. - Mark 10:15-16(New King James Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. - James 1:26-27(New King James Version).

A QUOTE
God has not made a little universe. He has made the wide stretches of space and has put there all the flaming hosts we see at night, all the planets, stars, and galaxies. Wherever we go, let us remind ourselves that God has made everything we see. . . . And not only did God make it all, but He is present. - Francis A. Schaeffer -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Confidence is not based on wishful thinking, but on knowing that God is in control. - From Home is Where the Heart Is -
The bee that gets the honey doesn't hang around the hive. - From Reminisce Magazine -

THOUGHTS ABOUT CATS
Cats don't rent, they own. - From Cats Rule -
The cat is most attracted to the guest most allergic to him. - From Cats Rule -

NOTES
Today has been mostly cloudy in McAlester, Oklahoma, with a high temperature of 82 degrees and a low temperature of 69 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office and then came by Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store. I took a nap this afternoon with Little Girl and Smokey. I sat outside with the cats this evening from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. I watched a Billy Graham Classic Crusade. The one today was from Anneheim, California, in 1985. I had seen this one before but I had to watch it again. I heard from June last evening before I went to bed. She had made it home safe and sound. I sure do appreciate your e-mails. I will send three pictures tonight.
The cats are fine. Little Girl is on a blanket on the sofa. Rascal was here a little while ago. I have seen all of them today.
I will see you next time,
In Christian Love, Everett.
