GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
16 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren. - Proverbs 6:16-19(New King Jame Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. - 1 Peter 5:6(New International Version).
,br /> A QUOTE
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last. - C. T. Studd -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Age does not diminish the extreme disappointment of having a scoop of ice cream fall from the cone. - From Reminisce Magazine -
Today's bright moments are tomorrow's fond memories. - From Home is Where the Heart Is -

BILL OF RIGHTS FOR CATS
All cats are granted the right to wash in public. - From Cats Rule -
Each cat has the right to leave a household without warning, wander a few days, be adventurous, then return home and act as if nothing had happened. - From Cats Rule -

NOTES
Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 93 degrees and a low temperature of 78 degrees. At 11:30 a.m. June and I had lunch with Charley and Bill. Immediately after lunch I took June to the bus station and stayed with her until she was on the bus headed for Dallas, Texas. She is spending the night in Dallas and will fly out tomorrow and be home in Hawaii late tomorrow night. I just talked with her in Dallas and will talk with her again as soon as I get the Good Things sent out. I sure enjoyed her company the past two weeks. She spoiled me good and proper. She did all my chores before I could even think about them. She has the house and back porch in good condition now and I must do my best to keep it that way. After the bus left I came by the post office. Then I came home to a lonesome house and sat outside with the cats before I took my nap. Little Girl took a nap with me this afternoon. It was 93 degrees at 7:05 p.m. so it was too warm for me to sit outside with the cats this evening. I did give them their treats and stayed with them 5 or 10 minutes. Needless to say, it is really lonesome here tonight but I am so happy that I have my cats to keep me company. The 3 pictures tonight are of June and the cats. I will send pictures soon of my human family on Memorial Day weekend. Thanks so much to those who send e-mails and read the Good Things.
The cats are fine. Rascal is with me in the den at this time and I guess the rest are outside. I have seen all of them this evening.
I will see you next time,
In Christian Love, Everett.
