Times Are Changing.

Times Are Changing

The world rotates with sin and shame

Profaning Jesus’ holy name

In Satan’s grasp she’ll burn and die

Denying God who came from high

Blindness reigns where Christ is rare

Where crimes abound few people care

The lost refuse Salvation’s law

Where Jesus Christ is taught no more

Yet drugs increase, porn fills the street

Unbalanced scales, spouses who cheat

Theft is common, lust sets aflame

All but a few curse Jesus’ name

Church doors shut tight, jails overflow

Lies, deceit wherever we go

Children run wild, parents look on

Few bear thought of God’s true Son

God’s sheep; the world regards as fools

Who still obey obsolete rules

Where God’s a myth legends grown stale

And Christ, a children’s fairy tale

Has God in Heaven closed His door?

Can eyes of Gentiles see no more?

Times are changing the night draws nigh

Soon Jesus’ cloud we’ll see on high

Just how foolish must man still grow?

What other sign should Heaven show?

Give Christ a chance just take a look

The facts of life are in His book

Whilst yet God’s Word is free to all

Take it, read it, answer the call

Listen to reason Jesus is King

Come now in faith life’s song to sing….

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
