A Very Special Baby

11/27/2018

Every baby is special, since they belong
to their families to grow up loved
Yet, only one baby belongs
not only to His family of Mary and Joseph
but also to ALL of us to love us
Baby Jesus was born around
two thousand years ago,
longer than any of us have been alive

To show how special this baby is:
a star shone brightly in the sky
three wise men offered precious, fragrant gifts
a simple shepherd boy sang for Him

Jesus was not born in a clean and sterile hospital
where mothers get epidurals to help with the birth
He was born in a cold and dirty barn, where animals
were kept, yet everyone, including the animals
knew just how special Baby Jesus was
both then and is now

Baby Jesus was born to bless all of us
Whenever someone feels like a child,
they should remember that the greatest
human on earth, who is also God
blesses us more than two centuries later.

Note: Happy Birthday Jesus. Thank you for being

born for us.

About the Poet
Michelle Angelini, aka Chelle, has been writing poetry for over 40 years. She has been published in many Southern California chapbooks and calendars. I am retired and dealing with my health issues. My Saviour, Jesus is always with me. God holds me within His wings. I am working slowly on a second book poetry and possibly my photography. And, I'm over 65 now and still loving it, even though my social life is not what it once was because of the painful fibromyalgia. It's quite frustrating, but I know Jesus still has "work" for me to do to show how much He blesses me.
